A beautiful house to explore the highlands

Taransay  is a fantastic base for outdoor activities. Situated at the foot of Beinn Dòrain and Beinn an Dòthaidh it offers stunning Highland scenery, epic hillwalking, cycling, kayaking/canoeing on the River Orchy, and walking the West Highland Way (running past the front of the house). Or simply relax by the fire in the living room or reading a book in the summer or river hut. 

Within a five minute walk is the Bridge of Orchy Hotel with delicious food and drinks and Tyndrum is a 10 minute drive.

Essential Information and Amenities

The house is a bungalow consisting of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room and a kitchen. There is also a drying room for clothes and boots after a long day of walking. The house has all essentials for the kitchen and bed linen and towels are provided. Wi-Fi is available and there is a TV with digital channels and an extensive DVD collection. There is a large garden with a stream at the bottom, with two sheds to enjoy the view from.

The house is incredibly well connected by road, coach and rail, including the sleeper train service from London. Glasgow Airport is a 1 hour 20 minute drive and Edinburgh Airport is just under two hours.
